Duties of Waiter for opening restaurant

  • Duties of waiter

 Waiter should do some work before your open restaurant.

  1. Cleaning of premises (Dining Room/Coffee shop)

a)    Opening windows
b)    Vacuuming floors.
c)    Cleaning guest toilets.
d)    Cleaning windows.
e)    Removing any dirty equipment or linen.

  1. Cleaning Of Equipment and Utensils

a)    Cleaning and checking all crockery, cutlery, glassware & usual small utensils.
b)    Preparing and filing side-boards.
c)    Filling condiments container (salt, pepper, mustard, oil, vinegar etc.)

  1. Counter, still Room and Dispense Bar

a)    Checking Ice cube machine, coffee machine etc.
b)    Renewing beverage stock.
c)    Renewing linen stock.
d)    Preparing butter.
e)    Checking bread/pastry order.

  1. Tables Layout

a)    Checking table plan.
b)    Checking and placing table cloth.
c)    Laying tables according to breakfast, lunch and dinner.
d)    Arranging flowers.

  1. Final Preparation and Checking

a)    Checking table reservations and layout.
b)    Checking sideboards, ice water, condiments etc.
c)    Checking individual equipment ( bottle opener, matches, pen, service cloth etc).
